Word was received here today that Mrs. Eva Martin had died at Vincent hospital, Indianapolis, at 4:40 o'clock. Mrs. Martin came here a month ago from Crawfordsville to join her husband, N. M. Martin, a traveling salesman for W. M. Shafor & Co. They had rooms at Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Cast's. A week after her arrival she was taken ill, and an operation would have to be performed, she was taken to Indianapolis. The operation was performed Wednesday but the patient failed to rally, and passed away at the hour mentioned. Mr. Martin, who was out on the road, was notified of his wife's condition and reached her side two hours before the end came. The funeral services will be held at Darlington, her former home, at 1 o'clock Friday, and the remains will be interred at Oak Hill cemetery at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Martin was about thirty years of age and highly respected. - thanks, Lena
